Meetings at The Mitre

We have some fantastic spaces available for private hire. We’re experts in hosting celebrations such as birthdays, engagement parties celebrations of life and business meetings.

Looking for a private cosy space for your get-together? We can certainly help you with that! Our Scullery offers a private dining experience and even boasts its own entrance.

We are located just 5 minutes away from Lancaster Gate station and we are also very close to Paddington station- making it the perfect spot for your party in Central London.

Lord Craven’s Dining Room

The Lord Craven’s dining room is a beautiful late Victorian dining room situated on the first floor of the Mitre. This opulent hidden gem is the perfect space for your party, event or meeting.

Old Mary’s Cocktail Bar

Hidden beneath the Mitre, Old Mary’s is named after a story of love and tragedy and home to our very own secret speakeasy bar, serving up experimental and classic cocktails.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the max capacity for private hire?

This depends on the space:

In The Lord Craven Room, we can fit 34 people sat or 50 people stood. The minimum spend for Lord Craven ranges from £500-£2000 depending on the day and guests attending.

For Old Mary’s, The Scullery can fit 30-40 people comfortably. There is no minimum spend but we do require a minimum of 20 people to book this room.

 

 

Is Old Mary's Cocktail Bar available to hire exclusively?

Yes. This is ideal for groups of 60 to 90 people. The minimum spend for this option ranges from £1000 to £2500 depending on the day of the week and time of year. The only food options we can offer in Old Marys are the canape menu or snacks menu (for small amounts).

Is there a deposit we have to pay?

Yes. Each private hour option requires a deposit of £100 to secure the booking. This deposit is refunded on the day or up to one week in advance if cancelling.

Can we bring external catering/alcohol?

Unfortunately not. We do however have various dining packages you can pre-order from.

How soon do we need to pre-order?

No later than 10 days before the date of your event.
